Part of being a good Make-up Artist is understanding a client's skin type and being able to prepare the skin accordingly, ensuring that it's at it's best before the make-up goes on. Knowing a client's skin helps a Make-up Artist decide what make-up products to use. I always find if the skin is prepped properly the make-up glides on and lasts better.
